I have told you the how, but here is the why.  I used to think that fruit trees needed little care, just stick them in the ground and they will eventually produce fruit.  Well, that is true, but you probably won't get fruit you want to eat from neglected trees of apples, peaches, pears, plums and the like.  Listen now!
